Oriental rugs and carpets are fine handmade works of art, representing long-term investments which, if given the care they deserve, will reward their owners with decades of good service while holding, if not increasing their value.

Specialist Skills
We are one of the few specialist centres in the UK, with an excellent team of young people who all have art and textile backgrounds, before serving an apprenticeship at The Persian Carpet Studio to acquire the traditional skills necessary to carry out the demanding restoration work.

Known for producing restoration work to the highest possible standard, we have carried out commissions from all over the United Kingdom and Europe.

Range of Services
Our in-house workshop offers services ranging from routine cleaning and the repair of fringes to extensive rebuilding where carpets have been badly damaged. Even items with large holes chewed by dogs or mice are repaired to their owner's delight. Whether it be moth attack on a runner that has been in your family for three generations, or a log falling out of the fireplace and burning a hole in a recently purchased carpet, we can help.

• Before commencing any cleaning or restoration work every rug or carpet is thoroughly assessed and a written estimate for the appropriate work issued
• Valuations can be provided before and after restoration, and advice given on any aspect of oriental rugs including purchasing, insurance and resale.
• We offer collection and delivery within our immediate area and can otherwise arrange transportation. In some cases we may be able to advise by telephone or e-mail after receiving good quality photographs of the item.

Careful Colour Matching
Wool carefully chosen under daylight conditions from a large in-house stock of unlimited colours and textures ensures an excellent result. We also have many contacts with craftsmen and woman throughout Europe and the Middle East who will spin, dye or find any fibre, wool or hair for a specific repair.
